Join us on June 11 for our WOWDems general meeting, and come listen to John Fullinwider from the Dallas chapter of Mothers Against Police Brutality (MAPB) speak about the problem of police brutality in our society today. Mothers Against Police Brutality is an emerging, Dallas-based, multi-racial, multi-ethnic coalition uniting people nationally from all walks of life to hold law enforcement agencies more accountable. Collette Flanagan founded MAPB in 2013 after her son, Clinton Allen, an unarmed young man in custody, was shot to death by a Dallas police officer. MAPB is leading the way to change deadly force policy throughout the US and to help restore trust between the police and the communities they are sworn to serve and protect.
Location: Plano Environmental Education Center, 4116 W Plano Parkway, Plano, TX 75093
Meet & Greet 6:30 PM. Program begins 6:45 PM (note earlier start time). WOWDems business meeting starts after program ends, around 7:45PM.
