WOW Dems Members:

WOW is the perfect way to describe last Saturday’s fundraiser “Wearing It for the Win.” Gloria Campos was fun, feisty, and informative, lunch was delicious, the silent auction offered fantastic items, and our models were stunning as they took to the runway during the resale fashion show. Thanks to everyone who had a part in making this event a huge success.

Now that our fundraiser is behind us, the board will be meeting to discuss how to best use these funds in support of our women candidates. If you’d like to offer suggestions or attend the next board meeting, please contact me directly for information.

You are all invited to celebrate “Your Vote is Your Voice” along with Wendy Davis and other statewide and local candidates on Saturday, September 6th, from 6 – 8 p.m. at the Preston Ridge Campus of Collin College in Frisco. Let’s show these candidates the power of Collin County Democrats by showing up in full force. More information about this event, sponsored by the Democratic Party of Collin County, can be found here.

Wendy Davis/Leticia Van de Putte yard signs are now available at the Democratic Party of Collin County office in east Plano. Suggested donation is $10.00. Stop by the office during regular business hours to pick up a sign.

Our next quarterly meeting will be held on Thursday, October 9th at the Environmental Education Center, 4116 W. Plano Parkway in Plano. We are working on another great program so please mark your calendars and plan to attend. As always, meet and greet will begin at 6:30 followed by our program at 7 p.m.

Many volunteer opportunities are available through the DPCC to phone bank, block walk, staff the DPCC office, work during the election, help out with the Plano Balloon Festival, etc. Click on the volunteer link on the DPCC website or email Barb Walters at [email protected] for more information.

Feel free to contact me with any questions or concerns.
